Terms of Use — Luko
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Luko mobile application and related services (the “Service”). By downloading, accessing, or using Luko, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country). If under 18, a parent/guardian must agree. Personal, non-commercial use only.
2. The Service (current scope)
Luko currently provides:
- Onboarding and a personal food plan (calorie/macro targets)
- Account creation (Clerk / supported providers) so your plan and logs can be saved
- Home with a briefing about today’s food and workout status, plus meal logging
- Meal capture by photo, typed description, or voice description, with server-side nutrition estimates
- An optional AI note after a log, and recipe-idea generation
- Workout with Luko: a preferences note, AI-assisted daily training plan, guided session (edit/swap/rest), and estimated burn on finish or save
- A More tab for food and workout tools kept off the Home rest screen
- Adventure as Luko’s planet destination: the Homestead Planet grows from meal and workout logs and can unlock seasonal residents. Optional Apple Health / HealthKit access may drive decorative on-device “body weather.” Optional approximate location may match Planet daylight to local sunrise and sunset; declining uses a fixed daylight window. Neither permission is required to use Adventure
- Profile / settings, including account management
- Optional private feedback from Home (ideas and bug reports hosted by UserJot; visible to you and the Luko team, not a public feed)
- Optional product analytics and advertising-campaign measurement, as described in the Privacy Policy. Apple’s tracking prompt is optional; declining it does not reduce features
Not included in this version: a free-form daily context/condition journal, open-ended AI chat or voice coaching outside the flows above, or in-app purchases / subscriptions. Features may change; material changes will be reflected in updated Terms.
3. Health disclaimer
LUKO IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE AND DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE.
Nutrition estimates, calorie targets, AI notes, recipe ideas, workout plans, exercise demonstrations, estimated calorie burn, Home briefing copy, Planet weather, Planet daylight, and related content are for general informational, personal tracking, and decorative use only. They may be incomplete or wrong. Planet weather is a scene effect derived on your device if you allow Apple Health access — it is not a diagnosis, recovery score, or clinical reading. Consult a qualified healthcare or fitness professional before changing diet or exercise, especially if you have injuries, medical conditions, or other health concerns. Stop any activity that causes pain or distress. For emergencies, contact emergency services.
4. Accounts
You may need an account (Clerk / supported providers). Provide accurate information, keep credentials confidential, and be responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Delete your account in Settings → Accounts → Delete My Account or by contacting support.
5. License & acceptable use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store Terms of Use.
You agree not to reverse engineer or misuse the Service; upload unlawful or infringing content; post others’ personal data or abusive material on the feedback board; access others’ accounts or our systems without authorization; use the Service to diagnose or treat disease; or overload or abuse AI/analysis systems.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, analyze, and display that content as needed to operate and improve the Service (including AI meal analysis, post-log notes, recipe ideas, workout notes and plans, session logs, Home briefing, Planet progress state, and optional feedback submissions). You represent you have the rights to submit that content. We may moderate, refuse, or remove feedback. Guest posts on the board are not deleted automatically when you delete your Luko account; contact us to request removal.
7. AI analysis and generated content
AI outputs are estimates. We do not guarantee accuracy of calorie/macro estimates, food identification, post-log notes, recipe ideas, workout plans, exercise form guidance, estimated burn, or briefing copy. Do not use them as a substitute for professional advice. You remain responsible for exercising safely within your own limits.
8. No purchases in this version
This version of the App is free and does not offer in-app purchases or auto-renewable subscriptions. If we add paid features later, prices and terms will be shown in the App and on the App Store, and these Terms will be updated.
9. Intellectual property
Luko branding, character, UI, Planet artwork, and software are owned by us or our licensors. Exercise media and third-party content remain subject to their respective licenses. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted service or accurate nutrition estimates, workout plans, burn estimates, or Planet weather.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR HEALTH OUTCOMES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED USD $50. Some jurisdictions disallow certain limits; then limits apply to the fullest extent allowed.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service anytime and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or risk to users/systems. Disclaimers, liability limits, and IP terms survive termination.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new last-updated date. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in San Francisco County, California have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer protection law or Apple’s App Store terms require otherwise.
15. Apple-specific terms
These Terms are between you and Zentari Labs Inc., not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Luko. Apple is not responsible for product warranties beyond any applicable refund of an app purchase price; nor for product liability, consumer, or IP claims related to the app. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.
